Health Equity Alliance for LGBTQ+ New Mexicans (HEAL Plus NM) and N4th Gallery teamed up to bring awareness to mental health resources for LGBTQIA2S+ folks in New Mexico. HEAL+ NM hosts Bright Spaces, Welcoming Places, a directory of behavioral health agencies that are affirming and welcoming to gender and sexuality diverse people. When mental health agencies display art by LGBTQIA2S+ people they create a welcoming environment for queer and trans people seeking services.

Queer and Trans Joy is our birthright. We envision freedom of gender expression, self-determination, chosen family, and wellness in all forms of our lives. Wholeness, self-acceptance, and community all contribute to queer and trans people more than surviving, but thriving. Queer and trans joy heals from pain by living our authentic selves.
